Since I will not be able to say this to my branch’s Rhea, I want to at least say it to you. I want to apologize for leaving you to deal with things on your own all those years ago. It is, perhaps, an irony that I am saying so in a situation like this, but it has been something I wanted to get off my chest since I became aware of your activities over the years. I would like to say that I thought you were strong enough to handle things going forward, but in truth, I was not thinking of anything but my own losses. I should have at least had the strength to try and convince you to come back to Zanado to look after Flayn with me instead of leaving you to weather the world of humanity without the support of your family.
I suppose that since I have left you alone again, I have no business trying to ask something of you. But I am very worried about you, Rhea. I am sure Byleth was not your first attempt at trying to bring our mother back, and I am also concerned she will not be the last. I have grown to care for Byleth as family in her own right and as her own person, which is part of my concern. I know the ritual will fail, so I will dissuade you from attempting it. In that vein, I also know that you have likely suffered in your attempts, as well.
I do not want you to wear yourself down to nothing trying to bring back the past, Rhea. I want you to be able to find peace and happiness in the present. I don’t know what shape that will take for you. Perhaps you should discuss it with Flayn and the Seteth that still lives, since I cannot offer you any assistance at this point. Or perhaps you should discuss it with those we have met here, since they will be able to offer you new perspectives.
Regardless, I hope that you can make it through this. I don’t want you to suffer or die because I am gone. I also hope you can continue to work with the others to thwart the Professor. I know you do not get along with all of them, but I hope you can put your differences aside so that everyone who is still alive can escape. I think that our mother would wish for you to do the same.

Regardless, though, I hope you find a solution to your struggles. Do not be afraid to put your pride aside and ask for help if you need it, either. It is nothing to be ashamed of, since all of us need to ask for help every so often, regardless of how strong we are. If nothing else, let yourself relax when you have the opportunity to do so.

I am deeply sorry for whatever Rhea has likely done in the wake of my death. I would ask you not to hold it against her too much, and I have asked her to be reasonable, but I am genuinely unsure if she will listen to anything I say. She has not been terribly forthright with me about several important matters, which betrays a certain level of distrust. I am deeply concerned for her, and I hope she can see reason, but I will not pretend she is easy to get along with.
Ultimately, I wish for everyone to make it out of this alive. I truly hope that regardless of your differences, you all can get through this. Despite our reason for being here, I have appreciated getting to meet you all, and I wish you the best.
FLAYN
If you are reading this, I will not be returning to you. I am truly sorry to leave you alone like this, especially after the way you lost your mother. I wish things had not gone this way, but I found myself in a dangerous situation, and I suppose I was not strong enough to make it through. I do not even know if it is possible for one of my companions to get this to you. I hope someone does manage it so that you can get some closure, at the very least.
I know I have been overbearing in the past, and I do apologize for that. I am not going to lament that I cannot protect you, as I am sure you do not want to hear that from me. What I will say is that I am so proud of you. You have grown so much as a person over the years, and you have many friends you can depend on.
I love you, Flayn, and I wish you all the happiness in the world. My biggest regret is that I do not get to see where you go from here.

The one thing I ask is that you look after Flayn. I am sure she would protest if she were to catch wind of this, but I also feel like you would take a much more... balanced approach, after some self-reflection. Also, do not pretend I have not caught you doing a spot of matchmaking amongst the members of our army. If you could keep having lunches with both Dedue and Flayn, that would be deeply appreciated.
